Role:

As part of our marketing team, the Social Media and Events Marketing Manager will be responsible to set and execute our social media strategy, be a part of growing and engaging with key audiences, and a fundamental part of our external communications. Primary responsibilities include creating and distributing informative, high-value social content to followers across various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. You should be passionate about creative storytelling and creating content that influences, educates and engages audiences on the right social channel at the right time.

To engage with prospects, existing clients and partners outside of social channels, you will research, organize and develop opportunities for our sales and marketing teams to attend conferences and events, where Netgain can present thought leadership and promote our products.

This is a unique opportunity to build community online and in-person. You should be comfortable using marketing automation technologies, 1:1 social media interaction and interpersonal networking to capture the attention our audience.

You should be very familiar with tools, like Google Analytics, HubSpot and social media channels, to analyze data and identify trends that could increase engagement with our audience. You’ll create and test campaigns and events that influence every part of the marketing and sales funnel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our social media strategy and execution
  • Lead our event coordination and marketing efforts
  • Build an audience and engage with the accounting community across social platforms using paid and organic strategies
  • Develop and pitch social and influencer marketing ideas, actively participating in thought starters and strategic brainstorms
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, creatives and content production to develop and align on content calendars and topic clusters
  • Write captions, respond to DMs, questions/inquiries in a timely fashion and engage with audiences
  • Use analytics tools to track success of campaigns and efforts and make recommendations based on quantitative analysis
  • Build campaign models and parameters according to social media metrics, owning Return On Investment and the successful outcomes of campaigns
  • Build campaigns that are authentic and on-trend with the platforms and communities in which they live
  • Craft savvy recommendations for initiatives and develop solutions that work within constrained budgets
  • Run projects, including the execution of a campaign from the initial recommendation through the final wrap-up
  • Lead social tool implementation and evaluate new technology and platform features to increase efficiency and velocity
  • Work with the marketing team to manage and expand our martech stack

 

Skills and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience developing, promoting and executing events for a technology company, B2B technology company or marketing agency
  • Ability to generate creative ideas to engage prospects, existing clients and partners
  • Stellar writing and storytelling skills: prose that’s clear and concise
  • Strong planning and project execution competencies
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation systems, like HubSpot
  • Hands-on experience managing and executing events
  • Analytically strong, data driven, you’ll report and manage KPIs against objectives and provide analysis of marketing effectiveness
  • Highly motivated with a sense of urgency, you thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong organizational skills and an extreme attention to detail

Salary: $55K-$80K (depending on experience)
