Role

The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing content and campaigns that drive our demand generation, user acquisition, engagement and retention marketing strategy. You should be a strong writer with the ability to empathize and communicate clearly and creatively with accountants.

You should be familiar with Google Analytics, HubSpot and willing to learn and use other martech tools to identify ways to acquire and retain users. You’ll help us develop keyword strategies and write content to increase our SEO rankings. You’ll create and test content and campaigns that touch every part of the marketing and sales funnel to drive more user activity across all our products.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead our content marketing efforts by writing content that speaks the language of accounting and finance
  • Work with the marketing team and agency partners to manage and own multiple websites
  • Work with the marketing team to manage our martech stack, including HubSpot, Google Analytics and other specialized data analytics and testing tools
  • Work closely with our marketing and product teams to optimize the user funnel through data-driven experiments
  • Work with our customer success team to continuously identify innovative opportunities to increase user engagement and upsell additional products – testing and optimizing new and existing campaigns to ensure the desired user behavior is achieved
  • Develop content for demand generation, user acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns via email, blog, video scripts, long form research-based content, social media and more
  • Collaborate on our paid advertising strategy, working with our agency partners and marketing team to launch and manage campaigns on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Google
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create content that produces results and drives awareness and engagement
  • Use data to evaluate and demonstrate the effectiveness of your efforts while constantly pushing for continuous improvement tied to measurable results

 

Skills and competencies

  • 2+ years’ experience developing content and campaigns in technology, accounting/finance or for a marketing agency
  • The ideal candidate has experience with accounting/finance and strong creative and technical copywriting skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts into digestible content
  • Hands-on experience using WordPress to update website content
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation systems, like HubSpot
  • Experience developing content and campaigns for LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Google
  • Strong understanding of organic and paid search
  • Analytically strong, data driven
  • Strong track record of building and managing results-driving content in multiple formats
  • Ability to generate creative ideas to engage prospects and existing clients
  • Highly motivated with a sense of urgency, you thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong organizational skills and an extreme attention to detail
  • Ownership mentality–you see it, you want it, you make it happen
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Nice-to-have

  • Prior accounting experience or former CPA a big plus
  • Familiarity with Hubspot is preferred
  • Previous experience building out a content marketing program is preferred
  • Deep understanding of the finance and accounting or the FinTech ecosystem preferred

 

Salary: $65K-$85K (depending on experience)
